Dominic Musa
Dans les tableaux de Musa, ses expériences personnelles fusionnent par l’invention, l’observation périphérique et la mémoire d’une psyché collective. Il puise dans des photographies personnelles et trouvées, en faisant appel à la création, à l’effacement, au temps et, ultimement, à la méditation visuelle. Il utilise le fil psychologique subconscient qui relie des idées et des images personnelles, collectives et perçues, créant ainsi un discours intérieur qui part de l’artiste et rejoint chaque membre du public. De cette manière, chacun, chacune, est invité à entrer dans les univers visuels de Musa et à participer à un dialogue commun grâce à une communion continue ou en réseau.
Dominic Musa (né en 1989) vit et travaille à Paterson, au New Jersey. Il détient un MFA du Rhode Island School of Design et un BFA du School of Visual Arts - SVA, à New York. Ses plus récentes expositions solo et collectives incluent: Outside and Around à Y2K Group (New York), Unsettled Waters à Taymour Grahne Projects (Londres), Dal Segno à Y2K Group (New York), Anywhere Out Of The World à Helena Anrather (New York ), Beach à Taymour Grahne Projects (Londres), et Highway Blues, commissaire JJ Manford, à Underdonk (Brooklyn).
